Product information "flywheel 80mm light"

This flywheel has an outer diameter of 81mm, it has 12 spokes which are only 2mm thick and 3mm deep. Due to the filigree appearance, it is particularly suitable for Stirling engines and flame eaters. Of course, the flywheels are also suitable as wheels for a motor laffeet or a cannon-booster. The flywheels are produced in the lost wax process. The advantage of this casting process is that the casting has a very high quality and dimensional stability. Blisters are excluded in the lost wax process. The sprue has already been polished. The flywheel is cleaned and sandblasted.

Dimensions of the 80mm flywheel:

  • Raw diameter: 81mm
  • Finish diameter: 80mm
  • Width on the hoop: 15mm
  • Width at the waist: 17mm
  • Diameter of the collar: 13mm
  • Weight: 180g
  • Material: Cast steel (no gray cast iron)

Brass Ms58 flat material
Brass Ms58 flat material is a very good machinable material. Brass is probably the most widely used material in technical modeling. Which is certainly due to the fact that it can be worked very well. It can be milled, turned, drilled, brazed and softened. Many Stirling engines, steam engines and flame eaters in technical model construction are mainly made of MS58 brass. You can order brass flat material in different thicknesses from 2mm to 6mm here at the Bengs Modellbau Shop. Flat Material Brass Quality: Ms 58 (drilling and turning quality) Strength F45-50 Flat material 50mm wide Length 300mm

Ball bearings for model construction
You will find in our shop ball bearings made of steel in different sizes. All ball bearings are offered in the ZZ variant. The double-sided sheet metal disc with gap seal keeps dirt out and guarantees a good smooth running. The ball bearings are very well suited for technical modeling. We use the miniature ball bearings for flame eaters, steam engines and Stirling engines as they are particularly easy to move. Most of the offered ball bearings have a small cross-section to keep the installation dimension as low as possible.   The following ball bearings are available:   Inner diameter   outer diameter width ball bearings 63 ZZ 3mm 6mm 2,5mm ball bearings 106 ZZ 6mm 10mm 3mm ball bearings 688 ZZ 8mm 16mm 5mm ball bearings 6700 ZZ 10mm 15mm 4mm ball bearings 61800 ZZ 10mm 19mm 5mm

steel pulley 58mm
This steel pulley has an outer diameter of 58 mm. The belt pulley was made in the lost wax process and thus has a very clean and fine surface. The belt pulley is designed for use on model-building combustion engines, Stirling engines, flame guns or steam engines. On these model machines it can be used either as a belt pulley or as a flywheel. It can also be used as a wheel for a model caravan. The belt pulley is supplied as raw material. Due to the clean castings, processing of the outer surfaces is not absolutely necessary. Dimensions of the 58mm pulley: Raw diameter: 58mm Finish diameter: 57mm Width on the hoop: 20mm Width at the waist: 20mm Diameter of collar: 15mm Weight: 170g Material: Cast steel (no gray cast iron)
