Product information "graphite round material"

This graphite round material is excellent for making pistons for flame emitters and Stirling engines. A graphite piston does not need to be lubricated since it is self-lubricating. The graphite and material can be machined as well as a porous plastic. Another area of application of graphite is the production of high temperature resistant gaskets. Mainly, however, the material is used for self-lubricating the bearings in the model or mechanical engineering. However, the mechanical strength is not as high as for example in bronze.

Very good turning and milling properties.

Tolerances of Graphite Round Bars Diameter 0 / + 0.2mm

Graphite round material can still be used for the following applications:

  • Graphite as a material for self-lubricating bearings
  • For the production of high temperature resistant seals
  • For the production of molds
  • Graphite is used as a carbon brush in electric motors

The following dimensions are available:

  • Graphite round material 15mm round material 16mm long
  • Graphite round material 20mm diameter 21mm long
  • Graphite round material 25mm diameter 26mm long
  • Graphite round material 30mm diameter 31mm long
  • Graphite round material 40mm diameter 41mm long
  • Graphite round material 50mm diameter 49mm long

If you order two or more graphite pieces of a diameter, you get only one cut.

(e.g., 2x 20mm diameter 21mm long = 1 piece x 42mm)

Schott Duran test tube
Very thick-walled test tubes made of Duranglas for the construction of Stirling engines or similar applications in technical model construction. The Schott Duran test tubes are mechanically very resistant. Excellent resistance to temperature changes means that you can also use the test tubes as a displacement cylinder for a Stirling engine without worrying that the glass will burst. You can cut the test tubes with our diamond cutting discs. Below you will find a tutorial video. The test tubes are also suitable for laboratory and medical applications. We carry the Duran test tubes in these different sizes: Schott Duran test tube 10mm x 100mm 5ml (actual size: 9,5mm diameter / 100mm long / inside 7,8mm Schott Duran test tube 12mm x 100mm 8ml (actual size: 11,5mm diameter / 100mm long / inside 9,8mm  Schott Duran test tube 16mm x 130mm 17ml (actual size: 15,5mm diameter / 130mm long / inside 13,5mm (Stirling engine Laura)  Schott Duran Test tube 18mm x 180mm 32ml (actual size: 17,5mm diameter / 180mm long / inside 15,4mm (Stirling engine Rufus)  Schott Duran Test tube 25mm x 150mm 55ml (actual size: 24,5mm diameter / 150mm long / inside 22,3mm  Schott Duran test tube 30mm x 200mm 100ml (actual size: 29,5mm diameter / 200mm long / inside 27,2mm The test tubes available from Schott are made of Duranglas. All test tubes have a flanged edge and a wall thickness of 1.0mm - 1.2mm. Please note that the test tubes do not have the dimensions specified by the manufacturer, but a tolerance of + - 0,5mm. Please note the actual dimensions given by us.

Flame eater oil
The Flame eater oil from Bengs Modellbau is particularly suitable for lubricating the pistons and cylinders of flame-eaters in technical model construction. The flame-eater oil is an oil, based on white oil. It is liquid as water, odorless and biodegradable. Another important advantage of our Flame-eater oil for use in technical model construction is that it does not attack paints and varnishes. When the flame eater or parts of the flame eater exceed the temperatures of 150 ° C, the flame-eater evaporates and produces a beautiful white smoke. The oil we offer is normally used in the aircraft RC model building as smoke oil.   Many oils leave behind residues in the hot vacuum engine, which cause the piston to run smoothly in the cylinder. Likewise, when lubricating with graphite powder, deposits of graphite dust are produced over time, which lead to the piston becoming dull. These residues must be removed from time to time. For a long time we asked ourselves:   Which oil is best used for a flame eater or vacuum motor? And here is finally the solution! Flame eater oil from Bengs Modellbau. With the oil from Bengs Modellbau you do not have the described disadvantages and also the following advantages:   Flame eater oil is liquid like water   Odor neutral biodegradable It does not attack lacquers Best suited for technical modeling Made in Germany No dangerous good according to UN, IMO, ADR / RID, IATA / ICAO. Contains: 100ml   E-mail of a satisfied customer: I have today the Flammenfresseröl from you for my Stirlingmotor tried. Until now, I have oiled the model engines with WD 40. But the oil of you is a show! The high speeds I got with it are not comparable with WD 40. And all without residue and no hardening. Simply super! Best regards Video Flame eater oil

Grafi-sil valve balls
Grafi-sil valve balls are made of a special silicone rubber. The valve balls ensure 100% tightness in steam model construction with their check valves, feed water pumps and injectors, even when the ball sockets are removed or dirty. They can be used in steam, water and oil pipes and are absolutely noise-free. The following valve ball diameters are available: 4mm Grafi-sil valve balls 5mm Grafi-sil valve balls 6mm Grafi-sil valve balls 8mm Grafi-sil valve balls 10mm Grafi-sil valve balls 12.7mm Grafi-sil valve balls 15,2mm Grafi-sil valve balls You can of course also retrofit the Grafi-sil balls into your existing components. The maximum ball diameter must always be selected. Sufficient is already 0.3mm distance between ball and armature diameter. The graphi-sil spheres can be used up to a temperature of 400 ° C. We use the Grafi-sil spheres, among other things, as outlet valve balls for our flame eaters. We offer you a sample set with 2 balls of each size - with a price advantage of 20% !!! 2x4mm / 2x5mm / 2x6mm / 2x8mm Whoever has used Grafi-sil balls does not take anything else! !!! Grafi-sil valve balls are also used in machine and plant construction !!!
